9. Check Daily Agendas!
Each student will be provided with an Agenda. This should be taken home each afternoon, read over, parent initial and return it to school each morning. On the following morning your child will get a sticker or smelly smile if their agenda is signed. This planner helps your child strengthen organizational skills and promotes responsibility.  This is where you can find important information, forms, and newsletters that should be looked over immediately.  Your child will write down their homework, announcements, and behavior on these daily. This is where their green, yellow or red Smiley face will be circled so you can see how their day went!

8. Do your homework!
Your child will be assigned homework

Your child will be given a Spelling Bingo sheet. They will be assigned one Bingo square every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Spelling tests will be given every Friday.  Home reading will be assigned as well. For Home Reading each child is encouraged to read 20 minutes four times a week. If your child chooses to read more those minutes will also count. Please initial for every 20 minutes your child on your child's reading tracker  sheet. Once your child reaches 1000 minutes they will receive a prize!

**Sometimes your child will have homework in other subject areas if they do not finish it in class.

7. Try your best to earn great
grades!

 6. Follow the rules!
Every student has the right to learn in a safe,
respectful, and organized classroom. To manage behavior, I enforce 5 basic
rules that are followed anytime and anywhere throughout the school day.

1. Raise your hand to speak and wait your turn (raise your hand when
you have a question, comment, or want to share with the class)

2. Work quietly at your seat. (work quietly and
efficiently) and work cooperatly with others

3. Use voices soft, respectful and kind. (use kind words to
each other and speak in a normal tone)

4. Be responsible at all times. (have materials, be
ready to learn each morning, be responsible in the hallway, at lunch, recess., and
other activities)

5. Respect your teacher and classmates. (follow
instructions, respect teacher and classmates' property, listen when others are speaking)

Be prepared!

Follow these rules and our days will be great!

5. Make sure your child has a healthy breakfast,
morning snack and lunch.

4. Go to bed early!

3. Attend our Two Demonstration of
Learning Days:

We have 2 times during the school year where you are able to come into the classroom and
celebrate with your child on their successes and plan goals. These are planned
for November and March

2. Work with your child at home!

It takes both parents and teacher for your child to reach their highest level of success. The following are
suggestions for at home practice:

Talk to your child about their school
day
Have your child read aloud to you to practice
fluency and ask questions about the story for comprehension
Make sure your child completes his/her homework
